At Chestnut Park West, we’re proud to be sponsoring Jennifer Appleby Vines as she steps into the ring for the Champions for Charity Fight Night 2026 in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital.
After turning 50, Jennifer set out to challenge herself in a new way, both physically and mentally. What started as a personal fitness goal quickly became something much bigger. Through 16 weeks of intense training, she’s pushed past limits, built resilience, and joined a community of individuals committed to making a meaningful impact.
While Jennifer didn’t initially have a direct connection to the cause, her experience throughout this journey has brought a new perspective. Learning more about the hospital’s role in supporting families across our region (including many from Waterloo Region) has made this fight deeply meaningful.
“I was at a point in my life where I wanted to push myself in terms of my fitness level. I really wanted to see what I was capable of and also wanted to prove to myself and anyone paying attention that age is no excuse to doing hard things and improving yourself!”
On fight night, Jennifer is looking forward not only to stepping into the ring, but to celebrating alongside her team after months of hard work and dedication.
